The mission of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County is to secure the future of our libraries as an indispensable community service.
As public libraries continue to lose funding, LFSC recognized the need to grow and modernize their organization while effectively communicating the values of public libraries to the community.
In 2020, LFSC came to us wanting an update to their website. In response, we invested our time into doing a full overhaul of LFSC's brand, messaging, and digital presence.
Libraries aren’t just for books anymore - they’re hubs for creativity, connection, technology, and access to vital social services… but the public didn’t know that. '
Many residents lacked awareness of the essential role libraries play. This core misunderstanding, coupled with LFSC’s outdated brand and inconsistent messaging, made it difficult for them to effectively advocate for the future of libraries.

In response to the Library Foundation’s needs, we created a brand that celebrated the multifaceted nature of a library as a place where books, technology, and people connect.
KEY MESSAGING
In addition to a modernized brand, we developed clear and impactful messaging that got to the heart of what they do…. And why you should support them: “We support, educate, and advocate for strong public libraries in Sarasota County” and “Great communities deserve great libraries.”
LFSC’s strong new brand and powerful messaging was then communicated clearly across platforms - from their website, social media, newsletters, print collateral, fundraising campaigns and more - ensuring consistent communication.
RESULTS
Our comprehensive approach resulted in a refreshed brand, increased recognition, and successful repositioning of libraries as an invaluable community resource - one that should be celebrated, supported and protected. The development of a distinctive logo and brand identity brought new energy to the foundation, while clear messaging and cohesive collateral effectively communicated LFSC's mission, leading to heightened awareness and deeper community involvement.
